Airspace restructuring and the subsequent rationalisation and consolidation of air traffic facilities and services (particularly at regional and remote airports), has led to the emergence of a range of new airport radio information services. Certified Air/Ground Radio Service (CA/GRS) and UNICOM have been developed to meet flight crew requirements for airport data relating to other conflicting traffic, local weather and airport serviceability.

The delivery of the total ARIS function can be provided directly by Ambidji under contract to the relevant airport manager. Alternatively, Ambidji can provide independent quality assurance and safety management reviews, on behalf of airport management over the delivery of ARIS by other parties.
