Grant has a career background in managing airport operations. For a number of years he was the General Manager Airport Operations at Sydney Airport where he was responsible, under the new private sector owners, for the implementation of strategic operational policies to support the commercial objectives of airport business. In this role, Grant was responsible for capacity management, terminal and airfield management, infrastructure expansion, maintenance and development, airfield operations, regulatory compliance, aviation security and operational safety. Prior to this, Grant held significant roles in the privatisation of major Australian airports. He was a member of a small team that successfully bid for the acquisition of two Australian airports and provided support to another consortium in the preparation of their successful proposal during the Australian Government’s privatisation process.
