Jason Ryan

Airport Engineering

Jason has a range of experience in financial and strategic management in large commercial environments.  He has a sound understanding of aviation operations (security and regulatory compliance, safety and operational management) as well as the planning and development of airport infrastructure.  Jason has a proven track record in the senior management of major airport operators where he has led  large teams and reported to Board Committees.  Jason has a broad network throughout Australian and internationally within the airport sector and has built rapport with key aviation stakeholders such as the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), Airservices Australia (AsA) and the Office of Transport Security (OTS).  He has assisted in the development of Aerodrome Manuals, Safety Management Systems (SMS), Method of Working Plans (MOWPs), Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs), reviewed Annual Technical Inspections as well as addressed Audit Observations (AOs), Request for Corrective Actions (RCAs) and Non-Compliance Notices (NCNs) issued to airport operators by CASA.  Jason has a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in Civil Engineering, a Graduate Certificate in Engineering Management, a Graduate Certificate in Port and Harbour Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Engineer Project Management.  He is a Member of the Institution of Engineers Australia, a Chartered Professional Engineer (Civil, Structural), on the National Professional Engineers Register (Civil, Structural), and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
